The We Act Team Needs Your Help!

The We Act Team at Ecole Wascana Plains is working on a project for January to help the Humane Society by making toys for the homeless cats and dogs that live in the shelter.  This project is called Operation Happy Socks. For this project, we are going to make toys out of socks:  catnip toys for the cats and tennis ball toys for the dogs.

Parent Information Evenings

The Wascana Plains School Community Council plan to host Parent Education Evenings on the first Thursday of the month at our school from 7 pm to 9 pm starting in February. We hope to cover a variety of topics to support and empower families within our community and would invite expert speakers to help facilitate this. We would appreciate any ideas on topics that you would like to have covered.

December 17 & 19

Please join us for our Winter Carnivals on December 17 (Family surnames A-M) and December 19 (Family surnames N-Z).  Join us for some fun activities from 6:00 - 7:30.  This is a come-and-go event so please stay for as little or as long as you are able.  See you soon!

Conferences November 14 and 15

This year we will be using the web-based scheduling application we call the Regina Public Schools Conference Manager.  Parents will use the Internet to check our teachers' conference schedules and book appointments quickly and easily.

The booking window opens October 30th at 7AM and closes on November 11th at 11:30 PM.

Please watch for more information from your child's teacher coming home next Monday.

Great Clips - Great Neighbour!

Great Clips has opened in the Greens and reached out to our school after reading the article in June about overcrowding. They presented the school with a cheque on Friday for $1250 to help us renew and buy many more RAZ-Kids online reading subscriptions for our kids in grades 1-4 (1-3 in English, grades 3-4 in French Immersion). Many thanks Great Clips!
