Southeast School Boundary Changes for the 2025-26 School Year

The Regina Board of Education has endorsed four boundary changes on March 18, 2025. These boundary changes will be effective for the upcoming 2025-26 school year and will affect approximately 225 students and their families.

The plan outlines the following:

  • École Wascana Plains School will transition English students with home addresses within the boundary change area to École W.S. Hawrylak School.
  • École Wascana Plains School will transition French Immersion students with home addresses within the boundary change area to École Wilfrid Walker.
  • École W.S. Hawrylak School will transition French Immersion students with home addresses within the two boundary change areas to École Wilfrid Walker and École Massey.

Bring Your Backpack Event

Please mark your calendars for Thursday, August 29th as we will be hosting a Bring Your Backpack Night. Students and their families are welcome to visit the school, drop off their school supplies, and meet their teacher. Due to the size of the school, we will be hosting 2 events: 

3 – 4 PM – Families with surnames starting with A-L 

4:30 – 5:30 PM – Families with surnames starting with M-Z 

Kids Help Phone

Kids Help Phone is Canada’s only 24/7 e-mental health service offering free, confidential support to young people in English and French.

Mental health tips and info - With Kids Help Phone’s web resources, young people can get information about how their thoughts, feelings and behaviours are connected and what they can do to care for their well-being.

Crisis support - If young people need help right now, they can text or Facebook message a trained, volunteer crisis responder at Kids Help Phone about anything they are going through. No issue is too big or too small.

Professional counselling - Young people can work with a professional counsellor at Kids Help Phone over the phone or through online chat to better understand what they are going through.
