A storm is brewing....
This holiday season, the staff and students at École Wascana Plains are launching a Kindness Storm — a school-wide outreach initiative led by our Bisons for Change student leadership group and their teacher facilitator, Daya Madhur.

Throughout December, every classroom will be selecting a community project to support through fundraising, donations, or acts of service. Our goal is to spread kindness far beyond our school — and we’d love for you to join the Storm!
How students and families can participate:
❄ Catch a “Kindness Snowball.”
Complete an act of kindness in the community and send us a photo or short video so we can track the storm! Please submit by December 12, 2025 to wascanaplains@rbe.sk.ca.
❄ Support a classroom project.
Families can contribute materials, donations, or participate in classroom activities - teachers will share specifics. If you know someone interested in contributing supplies or monetary donations, please contact the school.
❄ Start your own Kindness Storm
Bring the idea to your workplace, group, or organization. (Reach out the to the school if you need a formal letter!)
❄ Invite others
Encourage friends, family, and community members to take part in spreading kindness this season.
Students who submit a photo of their own act of kindness to the Wascana Plains email address will be entered into a weekly prize draw — a photo submission is all you need to participate!
Acts of kindness can include volunteering with friends, supporting a cause meaningful to your family, or sharing the “snowball” video with someone far away and receiving a picture of kindness from their community.
Please feel free to share this initiative with family, friends, and local businesses who may wish to participate and together we can make kindness contagious!
