Hello Wascana Plains Families!
Events for this week include:
- Pizza/Dance for the whole school community, 6-8 this Thursday, October 26th. Please buy your tickets on CashOnline. Come meet your school family!
- Playground Grand Opening - The playground structure install is a little behind so we have moved this event to Friday, October 27th at 3:00. Some special thank you's, ribbon cutting, and a performance by our Bison School Choir. Everyone is invited!
- Wascana Plains school clothing kit is available Tuesday-Friday this week in our school office. Visit CashOnline to order your swag today! You can also try on the samples at the school dance.
- Menchie's on Thursday - $3
Future dates:
- November 24th will be our Student-Parent-Teacher Conferences. Students will not have regular classes that day but are encouraged to attend the conference. You will receive an invite in early November. Kindergarten students on the B calendar will have their conferences on November 16th.
- Save December 19th for our school's winter concert. We will hold two concerts (1:30 and 7:00) at Living Hope Alliance Church. The auditorium can accomodate 950 people per concert so we have room for grandparents and friends! There will be a charge of $2 at the door to help offset our rental costs. The SCC will also host a silent auction. If you have items to donate, please contact Michele at michele.ellingsen@sasktel.net.
- We will be celebrating Halloween on October 31st and students are welcome to wear costumes. Please note that it is still a school day and we will be attending regular classes for the most part so costumes should be comfortable, safe to walk/play in, and not scare younger students. All weapon props (swords for example) are not permitted. If your chosen costume does not adhere to those requirements, please wear black and orange and keep the costume for the evening.
Custom Wascana Plains Jewelry: Information will be coming home this week about our partnership with Hillberg & Berk. Custom earrings, necklace and bracelet in our school colors will be available for purchase and the school will keep 50% of the sales. We have a sample set in the office if you would like to see them. Of special note is the stamped school logo on the reverse of the H&B charm. Go Bisons!
Traffic: Please note the traffic signs around the school to ensure the safety of our student body. Do not drop off children where 'No stopping' signs are posted and do not drive in to the parking lot as all spots are accounted for (school and daycare staff). The easiest place to find a parking spot is on the north side of East Green Brooks Way, right in front of the school.
